Chicago Check-up

Hi Everyone,

I just got back today from Chicago where I had my 2-year follow-up on my stem cell transplant. There was good news all around. First, the technicians were all suprised by the results of my tests, they said that the "numbers" were better. Dr. Burt told me my pulmonary function has increased two-fold from 22 to 44 which is not a common thing this early post transplant. Also my skin scores were all normal except for my fingers. While the Raynaud's and my shrinking mouth continue to be challenges for me, I am gratefull that I am alive and breathing and my quality of life has improved immensely.

Thanks you all of you for your support of me during my illness.

I will continue to follow your progress......Loving you and thinking of you always...from someone who used to hate myself for loving you so much.
I'm nearer than you might think.
